I believe we all have a responsibility to help steward this Earth that we share.

The Earth gives us everything and we owe Her radical reciprocity.

To give as much as we take.

I live on the island of Kaua'i and graduated with a degree in psychology from UH Mānoa. 

Studying psychology I discovered the shortcomings of modern talk therapy

and the harmful aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. This inspired me to research more about

the benefits of working with plants for healing through herbalism and gardening.

The future is ancient and the solutions we seek are often found in the history we buried.

I am Mestizo on my mother's side and grew up in Oxnard and Ventura California.

Much of what I have learned about herbalism is through studying Mexican curandera traditions.

I am mainly Mexican, Spanish, Irish and German - herbalism is what ties every culture together.

Every ethnicity has developed their own unique relationship and uses for the plants in their region.

I feel galvanized to call upon the wisdom of my ancestors to create medicine that keeps

their herbalism practices and rituals alive, the most beautiful legacy I can imagine.

My partner and I steward a small farm on 4 acres where we grow many of these herbs

and source others sustainably and ethically from organic growers.

Our hope is to expand our operation so that we are able to cultivate as much as we can at home.

Every person can benefit from incorporating herbalism and natural goods into their lives.

Taking care of the body that houses your soul is vital, holy work.

Being able to show up for others begins with how you show up for yourself.
